Chapter 9: "Darkness"
The sound of the discarded, empty cans crushing beneath you knees reverberates inside your head; your lungs feel heavy, and your arms hang, pendulous, by your sides.
Moments later you're frozen; fluid begins to build up in your lungs, your muscles cramp, and your vision hazes over; the liquid forces its way up your throat and out of your mouth.
Your heart tightens and relaxes, and then spasms violently. Through the opening in the trash you can just make out the other victim, a figure; you assume is the girl, quickly bends down in front of the man, crimson covers the floor.
A childhood memory flashes before your eyes, then another, and another; the memories fade, leaving only darkness to follow....
You've reached a dead end! |
