TURN 2 - NEWS & RUMORS

TERROR IN CONNACHT
It came as a complete surprise to the residents of Connacht and their chief, Bran Connacht, when a massive army of dead corpses rose from the ground.  Eye-witnesses reported seeing  thousands of deceased clansfolk unburying themselves around the province, to the shock and dismay of everyone.  When the no doubt wickly evil necromancer was found, it was none other than Grand Druid Cionnaola of the Circle of Druidic Faith (CDF)!  That such a respected priest should resort to raising the very dead he helped to put to rest was more than many could take.  A large mob of angry residents gathered outside the CDF's temple and threw rocks, but were dispersed by the local law enforcement.  The army of undead is still loitering around the province, generally making a nuianse of themselves, and it is not known what further will come of this unfortunate situation.

DUBLIN-KILDARE ROAD OPENS
After six months of work, engineers are pleased to report that the road from Dublin to Kildare, comissioned by Ossian Ailleann (AS), is finally completed.

CONFUSION AT THE INVESTITURE
After close negioations, Tadgh Faelan (BD) of Bóthar Diamant and Ossian Ailleann (AS) of Ailleann & Sons decided to peacefully trade holdings in several areas.  An investiture was agreed on, and a priest was sought to officeate.  Problems arose, however, when Ossian Ailleann thought the ceremony was in the first month and even then did not schedule enough time to do it.  Tadgh Faelan arrived during the correct second month, but things became mome complicated when both Bishop Dominicus Vespillo (RCC) of the Roman Catholic Church and Grand Druid Cionnaola (CDF) of the Circle of Druidic Faith arrived to cast oversee the ceremony!  These two hated enemies were as baffled as the rest.  It seems that BD and AS put out a call for priests but never said which one!  The Bishop had arrived shortly before the Grand Druid, so he conducted the investiture.  This mixup is certain to cause even more tension in very bitter standoff between the RCC amd CDF.

RUMOR: The CDF was trying to raise an army of druids to conquer Connacht, but ran out of money.

RUMOR: King Midir the Dark (MD) and the CDF are working together now to create havock in the Irish Kingdoms.

RUMOR: The RCC takes their orders from DI now, instead of the Pope.

RUMOR: AS missed the investiture ceremony because BD told him the wrong month.  It was a plot to get AS's holdings without giving anything in return.
